It considered that "this decision reflects the level of professional decline that many media outlets have reached, which have adopted double standards as a slogan ensuring their workers' continued employment and a sword over those who oppose them." The statement concluded, "While the Board of the Union of Audiovisual Workers reaffirms its condemnation of any action that violates media and professional freedom, it urges the channel to retract this mistake that harms it in particular and the media profession and the truth in general."
