After a wave of discontent spread among Real Madrid players, led by French captain Karim Benzema, the club's management addressed complaints from several team members during the current season. According to the Spanish network "Defensa Central," the Real Madrid players are experiencing frustration due to the condition of the pitch at the "Santiago Bernabéu," though they refuse to speak about it publicly.
The Spanish outlet indicated that Benzema, in particular, feels uncomfortable playing on the "Santiago Bernabéu" pitch and believes that the state of the grass prevents him from showcasing his best performance. "Defensa Central" explained that the grass will be changed after the match against Valencia, ahead of the game against Elche in two weeks in La Liga.
It was mentioned that the poor condition of the pitch is attributed to a virus affecting the grass, caused by dust and other unclean materials present in the equipment used for the stadium's maintenance.
