The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, pointed out today, Tuesday, that "ethnic-based attacks carried out by the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces and allied groups have led to the deaths of hundreds in West Darfur." He stated before the Human Rights Council in Geneva: "Such developments reflect echoes of a horrific past that must not be repeated."
