Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati followed up today, Saturday, on the incident of the murder of young man Haytham Touk in Qurnat al-Sawdā through a series of calls, notably with Army Commander General Joseph Aoun and relevant security and judicial authorities. Mikati condemned the incident, emphasizing that "the perpetrators will be pursued and arrested so that the law can take its course and serve as a lesson for others." During a call with Member of Parliament Strida Geagea, he stressed the "necessity for everyone to exercise wisdom and avoid any reactions, especially during this sensitive time we are experiencing."
