Lavrov Accuses the West of "Supporting Genocide" in Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated today that the West is "supporting the occurrence of genocide" in Ukraine by endorsing the peace plan of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, noting that it would "destroy everything Russian" in Eastern Ukraine and Crimea. During a press conference with his Burundian counterpart, Lavrov said, "The outcome is very simple, the West directly supports the occurrence of genocide." He added, "The West is helping Kyiv directly in carrying out such terrorist attacks by providing it with weapons and military equipment," pointing out that "the West's claim that the weapons supplied to Ukraine should not be used to attack the territory of the Russian Federation is just another lie."
