Fury Sends Contract to Joshua for a Face-Off

British heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, the WBC titleholder, announced on Friday that a contract has been sent to fellow countryman Anthony Joshua for a fight at Wembley Stadium next September.

Fury, who remains undefeated, confirmed via Instagram, "This is a fight that everyone wants to see, including myself. This time I won't make a million videos, and I will keep the pressure on."

Earlier this year, Fury was scheduled to face Ukrainian opponent Oleksandr Usyk, who holds the WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles, in a title unification bout, but negotiations failed in March.

Fury has achieved 33 wins and one draw in 34 fights, while Joshua has 25 victories and three losses in 28 bouts since turning professional.

Fury, 34, has not fought since defending his title against compatriot Derek Chisora after stopping the fight in the tenth round last December.

He canceled the proposed "Battle of Britain" fight with two-time world champion Joshua, 33, last September, stating that his fellow countryman failed to sign the contract by the deadline.

Joshua, who won a points decision against American Jermaine Franklin in London last April, has lost twice to the 36-year-old Usyk.
