Prime Minister Najib Mikati, in charge of a caretaker government, denied circulating reports claiming that he had instructed not to suspend operations on the "online platform." This contradicts what was stated in the letter he sent, in which he requested the suspension of online gaming contracts through Casino Lebanon until feedback was received from both the Court of Accounts and the Public Procurement Authority.
Mikati's office conveyed that during a meeting with Casino General Manager Roland Khoury, attended by Minister of Tourism Walid Nassar and Director General of the Ministry of Finance George Mraoui, he listened to Khoury's explanations regarding the matter. Mikati requested Khoury to prepare a written document detailing this information for further study, with the understanding that the suspension decision would be adhered to once the company was notified, pending the requested opinions from the Court of Accounts and the Public Procurement Authority.
