Transport Matters Discussed by Hamieh and Attieh

The Minister of Public Works and Transport in the caretaker government, Ali Hamieh, met today, Tuesday, in his office at the ministry, with the head of the Committee on Public Works, Transport, Energy and Water, MP Sugay J Attieh. They discussed the general political atmosphere in the country, especially the presidential election in light of recent developments. The conversation also addressed transportation issues across various sectors: land, maritime, and air. The ministry's vision regarding the importance of positioning Lebanon—along with its vital facilities—on the map of global transport corridors, which are being redrawn, was presented. Additionally, they touched upon some regional development issues that the ministry is concerned with in the northern region.
