The Kuwaiti Public Prosecution announced that it oversaw the execution today, Thursday, of five convicts in various crimes, one of whom is affiliated with the ISIS organization. This individual, who is of stateless status, was involved in the bombing of the Al-Sadiq Shiite mosque during Friday prayers in Ramadan, in June 2015, which resulted in 27 deaths and 227 injuries.
The other four individuals executed today included three convicted of premeditated murder, consisting of a Kuwaiti, an Egyptian, and a stateless individual, while the last convict is a Sri Lankan found guilty of drug trafficking. The Public Prosecution stated in a statement that these convicts committed "barbaric acts that involved the most atrocious violations of humanity and the infringement of all rights, depriving the victims of their most sacred right in this world, which is the right to life."
