Bukhayb Returns to Beirut Amid Fears of Regional War

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Abdullah Bukhayb returned to Beirut after participating in the extraordinary session of the Arab ministerial meeting held in Cairo to discuss the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. During the meeting, he held consultations and side meetings with various foreign ministers, including Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud from Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al Jabir Al Sabah from Kuwait, Ahmed Attaf from Algeria, Nasser Bourita from Morocco, Riyad Al-Maliki from Palestine, and Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak from Yemen. He also previously announced a meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad. Additionally, he received a phone call this afternoon from Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, during which they discussed recent developments in the region, with Schallenberg expressing concern about a devastating regional war if Israeli escalation in Gaza does not cease.
