Mikati Thanks King Salman and the Crown Prince for Evacuating Lebanese from Sudan

The caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the "special care" provided to Lebanese nationals in Sudan, who have been evacuated aboard a Saudi ship expected to arrive in Jeddah this evening.

In a statement, he praised the efforts of the "Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense in the Kingdom, and everyone who contributed to the evacuation of the Lebanese and their safe return." Mikati also thanked the Kingdom for the measures taken to accommodate the Lebanese tonight, as they will return to Lebanon tomorrow. He stated: "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been and continues to be a good supporter and ally for Lebanon and the Lebanese in all circumstances and times. The Lebanese people, in all their diversity, look forward to reciprocating the Kingdom's goodwill as a token of appreciation and loyalty."
