Eight People Injured in Russian Shelling in Kherson

Ukrainian officials announced that Russian artillery shelling injured eight people, including a nine-year-old child, in two villages in the Kherson region in southern Ukraine on Monday.

The regional governor, Oleksandr Prokudin, revealed that six civilians were injured in the village of Stanislav on the right bank of the Dnipro River. The head of the military administration in the region, Roman Mrochk, stated that two others were injured in Antonivka in the suburbs of the city of Kherson.

The two individuals injured in Antonivka were near one of the many "fortified points" established by Ukraine across the country to supply civilians with electricity, heating, water, and other essential services amid the disruptions they face due to Russian airstrikes.

Air raid sirens sounded across Ukraine on Monday, just hours after Russia launched intense air strikes with drones and missiles the previous night.

Ukrainian military bloggers reported that "the air raid warning may have been issued due to a Russian warplane armed with Kinzhal hypersonic missiles." The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had destroyed all the drones launched by Russia on various targets across the country, totaling 35 Iranian-made "Shahed" drones.
