Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova noted on Wednesday that "Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov intends to visit the UAE on December 8 and Qatar on December 10." Zakharova stated: "Lavrov will participate on December 8 and 9 in the 14th international 'Sir Bani Yas' Forum for Peace and Security in Abu Dhabi. On December 10, he is scheduled to give a speech at the 21st Doha Forum in Qatar." Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the UAE and Saudi Arabia today in a rare trip abroad and was expected to hold talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss oil, the OPEC+ alliance, and conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine.
