The French ambassador in Lebanon, Anne Grillo, bid farewell to the Lebanese people with a tweet on her X account: "Dear Lebanese friends, my dear citizens, I am leaving Lebanon today, which has become very dear to my heart after three extraordinary years spent with you."
She added: "I will not forget our meetings throughout Lebanon, nor will I forget our discussions and our sometimes heated searches for solutions to the challenges you face. I will remember everything we built together, while recognizing what still needs to be done."
She concluded: "You have given me so much, and I hold you in my heart."
