"TASS": Armenia Ready to Sign Peace Treaty with Azerbaijan by Year-End

The Russian news agency "TASS" reported today, Tuesday, that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that "Armenia is ready to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan by the end of the year, and it will guarantee the safety of all Azerbaijani citizens on its territory." Russian President Vladimir Putin indicated last week that he believes "a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan is possible if both sides show goodwill," downplaying the difficulty of reaching an agreement on the shared border.
