The management of Al-Hikma Club in New Jdeideh has reached a verbal agreement with the current coach of the Lebanese national team and former Dynamo player, Jad Haj. Haj led the Lebanese team in the Basketball World Cup and secured a second-place finish in the league last season with Dynamo. Media sources confirmed that the club's management has granted Haj full authority to oversee the first team. A new administrative board for Al-Hikma is also set to be elected, with full support from MP Jihad Bqaradouni, who made an initiative in the hours leading up to the start of the Lebanese league, pledging to cover all of the club's financial obligations to continue in the 2023-2024 season. Al-Hikma is considered one of the most prominent clubs in Lebanese basketball, with a large fan base; its strong presence in the league will positively impact the strength of the championship.
