Cuba's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed the existence of a human trafficking network recruiting Cubans to fight for Russia in the war in Ukraine. It stated that Cubans living in Russia, as well as others still in Russia, have joined the ranks of Russian forces to participate in the war in Ukraine. Despite being a key ally of Russia, Cuba emphasized that it "is not a party to the conflict in Ukraine," according to a statement from the Cuban foreign ministry, which has not received any comments from Moscow yet. The Cuban foreign ministry also did not specify who is behind the operation of this human trafficking network.
