Turkish Delegation in Washington for Gaza within the Islamic Contact Group

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Thursday, that Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will travel to Washington tomorrow with his counterparts in what is called the Islamic Contact Group to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip. The group includes officials from Turkey, Jordan, Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Nigeria, the Palestinian Authority, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The Contact Group was formed last month during a joint summit of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation concerning the fighting in Gaza.
