Jordanian security forces apprehended an individual who used the loudspeakers of a mosque in the Balqa Governorate to attempt to relay answers for the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination ("Tawjihi") on Tuesday. A senior source from the Ministry of Education confirmed to Saraya that the video showing the "cheating" of students via loudspeakers is accurate, and immediate measures were taken.
In a statement to Petra News Agency, the spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate noted that the security force assigned to secure one of the schools where the Tawjihi exams were being held moved to a nearby mosque upon hearing someone using loudspeakers to relay exam answers.
The spokesperson confirmed that the security force promptly apprehended the individual inside the mosque, and an investigation has begun to take legal and administrative action against him.
