Abdollahian Warns Israel of New Situations in the Region

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, during his meeting with Iraqi National Security Advisor Qassem al-Araji in Baghdad today, emphasized that "if Israel does not stop its attacks on civilians in Gaza, the region will face new situations." He pointed out that Israel cannot impose a complete siege on Gaza, bomb citizens, and commit war crimes without repercussions. He stated, "The occupation of the Zionist regime is the root cause of all problems in the West Asia region," adding that this regime is at war not only with a certain group but with all Palestinians. During his meeting with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, they discussed recent developments in the Palestinian territories, the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, and the dire humanitarian conditions facing the Palestinian people. Al-Sudani affirmed Iraq's firm and principled stance regarding the right of the Palestinian people to a dignified life and the establishment of their independent national state on their historical land, as well as the necessity for the international community to act to save the residents there from their plight. For his part, Abdollahian conveyed the Iranian leadership's greetings to Al-Sudani, highlighting Iraq's pivotal role in the Arab and Islamic arenas regarding regional issues and the efforts to resolve them.
