Child Dies After Accidentally Closing Car Window on Neck

A 3-year-old child died in the Qadisiyah area of Tafila, southern Jordan, after accidentally closing his father's car window on his neck, causing him to choke.

Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Al-Saudi from the Jordan Civil Defense Directorate revealed in an interview with the Jordanian Public Security Radio that two children, aged 3 and 10, died in the provinces of Tafila and Balqa during the Eid al-Fitr holiday. The first child died from suffocation after he raised the car window on his neck while being left alone inside the vehicle. The second child died after being struck by falling debris and stones from a rocky cliff while playing with two other children, who sustained moderate injuries and bruises. The Civil Defense Directorate in Jordan warned against leaving children alone, especially in cars, and emphasized the importance of continuous supervision.
