US Imposes New Sanctions on Hamas and Members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard

The United States announced on Friday a second round of sanctions against the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) following the attack carried out by its militants earlier this month on Israeli towns. The sanctions target a Hamas official in Iran and members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. The U.S. Treasury Department stated that the measures aimed at additional assets in Hamas's investment portfolio and individuals facilitating companies linked to Hamas in evading sanctions.
