Struggling team Granada announced their separation from coach Paco Lopez on Sunday after months of leading the team to promotion to La Liga. Granada, currently second to last in the league following a 3-1 loss to Alaves last Saturday, has not secured a victory in their last 11 league matches and has only seven points from 14 games. Additionally, the team failed to qualify for the Copa del Rey earlier this month after fielding an ineligible player. Lopez took charge in November and led Granada to win the Segunda Division title and return to the top flight after a year of relegation.
