The distinguished Jaafari Mufti, Ahmad Qabalan, affirmed that Lebanon needs "a strong national president who stands with his people," pointing out that "our nation does not need a president to be sold at public auction." He stated, "Lebanon is not weak in options, and the solution lies in coexistence and partnership to rescue the state from the void. Any political rupture in the context of sectarian maps and international agendas will lead us towards a civil war in which the fragmentation project will not succeed, and Lebanon will not be divided even if it costs a civil war." During his Eid al-Fitr sermon on Saturday, Qabalan considered that "the solution remains in a presidential settlement crafted in the Parliament, and Lebanon's oil is a major guarantee for him, with the greatest guarantor being the army, the people, and the resistance." Qabalan accused the United States of working "to turn Lebanon into a country of displacement and organized chaos," noting that "the danger lies in merging the displaced, which means the end of Lebanon."
