The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government, Dr. Abdullah Bou Habib, met with the Armenian Ambassador to Lebanon, Vahagn Atabekyan, who expressed gratitude for Lebanon's supportive stance regarding the reopening of the Lachin Corridor. Minister Bou Habib expressed deep concern over the deteriorating humanitarian situation due to the continued closure of the Lachin Corridor in Nagorno-Karabakh, which is causing humanitarian, health, and living pressures on the population and disrupting trade movement. Bou Habib emphasized the importance of providing suitable conditions for bilateral negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the necessity of opening the Lachin Corridor, given its vital importance to the population. The minister also reaffirmed Lebanon's principled stance calling for dialogue as a means to resolve disputes peacefully, away from using civilians or their right to access humanitarian aid as leverage to achieve political goals.
