"Juventus Signs American Timothy Weah"

On Saturday, Italian Serie A giant Juventus announced its signing of American winger Timothy Weah from Lille for an initial fee of €10.3 million (approximately $11.24 million). Juventus stated in a statement that "the fee could increase by a total of €3.1 million through performance-related bonuses," as the club aims to replace Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado following the end of his long-term contract with the club. The statement added, "He won the French league with Lille in the 2020-2021 season and then the French Super Cup the following year. Six years of consecutive victories have turned Timothy into a versatile player, capable of providing both defensive and offensive duties, making him a complete winger and full-back."
