The Jordanian royal court announced that King Abdullah will travel to Cairo today, Wednesday, to hold talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi "to discuss the deteriorating situation in the Gaza Strip and efforts to halt the Israeli aggression on the region." An official told Reuters that the discussions will focus on how to transform the agreed-upon four-day ceasefire between Israel and Hamas into a permanent ceasefire that ends the Israeli bombardment in Gaza and avoids a humanitarian disaster.
