Funeral of Khalil Ali and Zabad Akoum in Shebaa

The town of Shebaa held the funeral for its son Khalil Asaad Ali Hashem, who was killed along with his wife Zabad Akoum due to Israeli shelling yesterday, Saturday. The ceremony was attended by MP Qassem Hashem representing President Nabih Berri, MP Ali Fayyad, a delegation from the Progressive Socialist Party, and sheikhs from Hasbaya representing former MP Walid Jumblatt, along with the Mufti of Marjeyoun and Hasbaya Sheikh Hassan Dali, Judge Ismail Dali, and local dignitaries. MP Hashem delivered a speech stating: "Because Palestine is the cause of Arabs, Muslims, and the few free people in this world, there is no place for neutrality in our dictionary. What neutrality can there be between right and wrong, between the oppressor and the victim? Therefore, we are aligned with our people in Gaza as well as in Shebaa, Aita al-Shaab, Hasbaya, Mais al-Jabal, and Marjeyoun. These are national constants in light of the massacres and genocide faced by the Palestinians amid a troubling international silence."
