Scholz Criticizes Israeli Settlement Policy in the West Bank

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz criticized the Israeli settlement policy in the occupied West Bank today, Saturday, and reiterated calls for a two-state solution for Israel and the Palestinians. Scholz stated, "We do not want any new settlements in the West Bank, nor do we want violence from settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank." He continued, "The best outcome for Israelis and Palestinians remains a two-state solution," noting that "if some in Israeli politics distance themselves from this, we will not support them."
