A fire broke out today, Saturday, around 11:30 AM, in the Ouzai area at the Musawi station intersection, specifically within a site containing plastic cages belonging to the Shamss family. A video circulated on social media shows the outbreak of the fire in the vicinity of Beirut Airport. According to reports, the fire is located close to the airport but not inside or within its premises.
The General Directorate of Civil Defense issued a statement indicating that its personnel, with the assistance of the airport fire brigade and the southern suburbs firefighting unit, managed to extinguish the fire that erupted at the location containing plastic cages in Ouzai. The fire was put out by Civil Defense personnel in coordination with the airport fire brigade and the southern suburbs firefighting unit at exactly 12:00 PM today, July 1, 2023.
