A state media report indicated that North Korea announced it will send stronger armed forces and new weapons to the border with South Korea after Seoul suspended a clause from a military agreement made in 2018 between the two Koreas in protest against Pyongyang's launch of a spy satellite. South Korea suspended the clause on Wednesday and stated that it would immediately enhance military surveillance along the heavily fortified border with North Korea. The North Korean Ministry of Defense said in a statement reported by the Korean Central News Agency that it will resume all military measures that were halted under the agreement aimed at easing tensions between the two Koreas.
