Sources: The European Union Will Strengthen Its Position on the Sudan War

Informed diplomatic sources indicated today, Tuesday, that "the European Union is developing a specific framework for sanctions against Sudan, aimed at targeting key actors in the ongoing war there, through travel bans and freezing of assets and bank accounts." The sources stated: "Member states exchanged a draft document late last week and will discuss the details in the coming weeks." They added that the goal is to finalize the framework by September, which can then be used to prepare a list of individuals and companies that will be banned.
