Today, Saturday, a commander in the Russian private military group Wagner, Anton Yelizorov, stated, as reported by the "Yevgeny Prigozhin on Telegram" channel, that "the fighters of the group led by Yevgeny Prigozhin are preparing to move to Belarus, in accordance with the terms of the agreement that ended the group's rebellion against the Russian military leadership." The commander, known as "Lotus," mentioned that "the fighters are on leave until early August, based on Prigozhin's orders before moving to Belarus." He added, "We must prepare the bases and training areas, coordinate with local governments and administrations, organize interaction with law enforcement agencies in Belarus, and establish supply and logistics services." Under the agreement, it is expected that Prigozhin will move to Belarus, and Moscow granted Wagner forces—some of whom are former convicts released early to participate in the fighting in Ukraine—the freedom to choose between moving with him to Belarus, joining the regular Russian armed forces, or returning home.
