Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri received Minister of Interior and Municipalities Bassam Molawi today at the second presidential palace in Ain El Tineh, where they discussed the general conditions, especially the security situation.
After the meeting, Molawi stated: "Firstly, we congratulated President Berri on the beginning of oil exploration, which will be a wealth for Lebanon and the Lebanese people, who have endured and continue to endure much." He added, "I also briefed him on the developments and security conditions in the country, and the work of the Ministry of Interior, focusing on the security situation and the efforts being made by the security and military forces, as well as following up on all security, judicial, and legal investigations regarding the incidents that have occurred recently."
Molawi took the opportunity to extend his condolences to the Lebanese people, the army leadership, and everyone who cherishes the nation for the two martyrs who fell yesterday, Wednesday, in the helicopter incident. "These martyrs are dear to the hearts of the army and all Lebanese; may they rest in peace, and may their families and the Lebanese people find patience and solace."
Additionally, President Berri met with the Grand Mufti of Tyre and the جبل عامل region, Sheikh Hassan Abdallah, in the presence of the cultural official of the Amal Movement in the جبل عامل district, Sheikh Rabi Qabisi.
