Arrest of Actor Jonathan Majors: What is the Reason?

Actor Jonathan Majors was arrested in New York City, accused of assault and harassment, which led the U.S. Army to pull new advertisements featuring the star of "Creed III." The police and Majors' attorney stated, "Majors was arrested Saturday morning in Manhattan following a domestic dispute," as he faces a criminal complaint for allegedly striking a woman in the face, resulting in an injury behind her ear, and for pulling her by her hand and neck, causing bruises. The New York Police Department announced that a 30-year-old woman suffered minor injuries to her head and neck and was hospitalized in stable condition. Majors appeared in court when summoned later that Saturday and was released without bail. Laura DeFrancesco, spokesperson for the Army’s Corporate Marketing Office, stated, "Although Mr. Majors is presumed innocent until proven guilty, prudence requires us to withdraw our advertisements until the investigation into these allegations is complete." Majors presented one of the awards at the Oscars alongside Michael B. Jordan, another star of "Creed III."
