USA: 45 Trucks Loaded with Aid Entered Gaza Yesterday

The U.S. State Department announced that "the last charter flight to assist Americans exiting Israel will depart tomorrow, Tuesday, from Tel Aviv." The U.S. administration began chartering flights from Tel Aviv to Athens on October 13 to help Americans leave Israel amid the ongoing conflict in the region. American airlines have suspended all flights to Israel and added flights to Athens earlier this month to assist Americans in returning home.

In this context, the State Department reported that 45 trucks loaded with aid entered Gaza yesterday, Sunday, bringing the total number of trucks that have entered the territory to 150 and indicating progress in delivering essential fuel supplies to Gaza. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller told reporters that "the United States informed the Israeli government earlier this week of the need for communication networks in Gaza to be restored."
