Caroline Wozniacki Announces Her Return to Tennis

Danish former world number one Caroline Wozniacki announced her return to tennis today, Thursday, following her official retirement in January 2020. Wozniacki wrote on Twitter, "During the last three years away from the game, I was able to make up for the time I spent away from my family. I became a mother to two beautiful children, and I am grateful for them. But I still have goals I want to achieve; I want to show my children that you can pursue your dreams regardless of your age or role." She added, "We decided as a family that the time has come. I will return to play, and I can't wait!" The Danish player topped the WTA rankings for 71 weeks and won 30 titles in singles, including the 2018 Australian Open.
