The Director of UNRWA in Lebanon, Dorothy Klaus, praised the role played by former MP Walid Jumblatt in assisting and supporting the Palestinian people in Lebanon. She expressed her hope for a ceasefire in the Ain al-Hilweh camp and the evacuation of all UNRWA educational centers. During her visit to the municipality of Siblien, where she met Mayor Mohammed Ahmad Younes, she thanked him for the municipality's support of the vocational training center in Siblien, which is affiliated with UNRWA, and for monitoring the conditions of Palestinian refugees, especially during the recent crisis due to the violent events in the camp. She also appreciated his efforts in accompanying Democratic Gathering member MP Bilal Abdullah during his recent tour to assess the situation of Palestinian families that have been displaced from the Ain al-Hilweh camp to the training center and UNRWA schools in Siblien due to the security events in the camp.
