Minister of Energy Discusses Emergency Plans in Response to Developments

Energy and Water Minister Walid Fayyad held a meeting with directors of institutions under the Ministry of Energy, particularly those related to water, the Litani Authority, Electricité du Liban, and oil facilities. During the meeting, emergency plans assigned to the institutions were discussed to address any exceptional circumstances, ensuring the sustainability of services and the safety of infrastructure. This includes securing the necessary fuel reserves to operate vital sectors and essential spare parts for emergency maintenance, with ongoing coordination among institutions to maintain services for the Lebanese people. The attendees also listened to Minister Fayyad's directives regarding effective crisis management in line with emerging circumstances and their integration. It was decided to keep meetings open to address all possible scenarios.
