German Official: Possibility of China's Participation in the Ukrainian Peace Summit

A German government official revealed that "there are positive indications about China's possible participation in the Ukrainian peace summit to be held in Saudi Arabia early next week," noting that "the form of this participation is not yet clear." He mentioned that "the goal of the conference, which will include more than 30 countries, is to unify the proposed peace plans and find common ground among them, as well as to foster closer dialogue between southern countries and Kyiv." China is viewed as playing a crucial role in any peaceful settlement due to its influence over Russia, which began its aggression against Ukraine in February 2022.
