Child Mohammed Nabil Salameh won the Lebanon Championship in swimming for ages 8-9, earning four gold medals at the competition held in Zahle yesterday (Al-Rihab Complex), and achieved three new record times for Lebanon:
- The first record in butterfly swimming, breaking the previous record of 39.16 seconds set in 2002, with a new time of 38.35 seconds for the 50-meter distance.
- The second record in freestyle swimming, breaking the previous record of 33.64 seconds set in 2019, with a new time of 32.96 seconds for the 50-meter distance.
- The third record in freestyle swimming as well, breaking the previous record of 1:16.11 (one minute and sixteen seconds) set in 2019, with a new time of 1:15.46 (one minute and fifteen seconds) for the 100-meter distance.
His fourth medal was achieved in backstroke swimming. The boy started swimming at the age of 6, trains at the OSA Club, and is looking forward to the opportunity to represent Lebanon in regional and international competitions.
