Egyptian presidential spokesman Ahmed Fahmy stated that Egypt's position on Syria's return to the Arab League is very clear, aiming to contribute to resolving the crisis and restoring stability and security for the Syrian people. He mentioned to the accompanying media delegation in Jeddah that the president will deliver an important speech covering several key topics, foremost of which is the necessity of preserving the nation-state and its resources, highlighting Egypt's support for political solutions to the crises facing the region. He added that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's speech will include themes of Arab unity, noting that the 32nd session of the Arab League Council at the summit level, held in Jeddah, takes place in a complicated international context and a regional situation that is not at its best.
