Explosion in Industrial Area Shakes Tel Aviv

Israeli media reported an explosion at a factory in an industrial area in Ramat Hasharon, north of Tel Aviv. The Israeli Broadcasting Authority "Kan" stated that "information has been received about a serious explosion incident in a cooperative factory in Ramat Hasharon." In turn, the Hebrew site "Walla" reported unusual occurrences in the industrial area, mentioning that an explosion was heard and a flash of light was observed. One resident noted, "Suddenly we saw a very strong flash that lit up the sky like daylight. It was a yellow light. We saw a large cloud of smoke shaped like a mushroom above the area. We thought there were bombs."

The Fire and Rescue Authority indicated that the incident is under control, stating there is no fear of hazardous materials, and the circumstances of the explosion will be further investigated by investigators and professional officials from the factory where the incident occurred. While "Walla" confirmed that a man in his thirties was seriously injured in the explosion, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported at least three injuries, including moderate cases. No statement has yet been issued by Israeli authorities regarding the cause of the explosion.
