"Al-Qassam Brigades" announced in successive statements that they have launched strikes against the Israeli army, destroying several Israeli vehicles that had advanced into Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza and on multiple fronts. Palestinian media sources in Gaza reported that fierce fighting is currently taking place in the city of Hanoun, which the Israeli army claimed to have taken control of.
"Al-Qassam Brigades" explained in a statement that they "targeted an Israeli special forces unit holed up in a building with an 'TBG' missile north of Beit Hanoun." They also announced the targeting of "two tanks north of Beit Hanoun with 105 Yassin missiles, and sniping a Zionist soldier north of Beit Hanoun, inflicting a direct injury."
In another statement, "Al-Qassam" reported that they targeted: "two Israeli tanks west of Gaza City with 105 Yassin missiles," and they confirmed the "destruction of a tank southwest of Gaza City with a 105 Yassin missile." They further clarified that "Al-Qassam Brigades" targeted enemy forces that had advanced into the southern Gaza front and east of Juhar al-Dik with heavy caliber mortar shells.
