Real Madrid has excluded young defender Raul Asensio from the squad facing Alaves on Thursday following the controversy surrounding his call-up after he, along with a group of players, was accused of having sex with a minor earlier this year. Coach Carlo Ancelotti resorted to the reserve team to compensate for the losses in defense due to the absences of Carvajal, Alaba, and Mendy, and chose the young player Raul Asensio to fill the gaps. According to Spanish newspaper "Marca" on Thursday, the uproar over Asensio's inclusion in the match led coach Carlo Ancelotti to sit down with the player and inform him that his exclusion from the squad was the best decision for both him and the club. The player, along with three others from Real Madrid, will face court for allegedly filming a minor during sexual acts and sharing the footage, as well as exploiting the minor to produce pornographic material.
