International Condemnation of Iran's Increased Uranium Enrichment

France, Germany, Britain, and the United States condemned Iran's increase in the production of highly enriched uranium following a report from the International Atomic Energy Agency earlier this week. Spokespersons from the countries stated in a joint statement on Thursday: "We urge Iran to immediately reverse these steps and halt the escalation of its nuclear program." The statement continued: "We remain committed to a diplomatic solution and reiterate our determination that Iran must never develop a nuclear weapon." The statement also added: "Iran's production of highly enriched uranium has no credible civilian justification. These decisions represent reckless behavior in a tense regional context."
