The spokesperson for the al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, confirmed that the Israeli warplanes sought to target their soldiers out of fear of them falling into captivity, in addition to destroying their military vehicles to avoid them being captured by the resistance. He pointed out that the resistance destroyed 60 military vehicles within 72 hours, including 10 personnel carriers, noting that the fighters "carried out a number of quality operations in the enemy's advance axes, the most prominent of which was an ambush against an infantry unit following a bulldozer south of Gaza City on Saturday." He added, "We targeted a personnel carrier on Saturday with a Yassin missile, then three individuals disembarked from it, and our fighters took them out." He stated that the screams of the targeted soldiers were heard in Gaza, indicating that losses occurred in several areas, including Beit Lahiya. He concluded: "The hysterical state the enemy is dealing with in its crimes is an indicator of its disbelief in victory."
