Khamenei Meets Haniya: Israeli Crimes in Gaza Occur with American and Western Support

Iranian state media reported today, Sunday, that Iranian leader Ali Khamenei met with Ismail Haniya, the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Hamas movement, in Tehran. The reports indicated that Haniya, who has been residing between Qatar and Turkey since 2019, "informed Khamenei about the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza as well as the developments in the West Bank." The official Iranian television stated, "Ayatollah Khamenei praised the resilience of the people of Gaza and expressed deep sorrow over the crimes of the Zionist regime, which are directly supported by Washington and some Western countries." Tasnim News Agency reported that Khamenei "emphasized Tehran's steadfast policy of supporting the Palestinian resistance forces against the Zionist occupiers," without specifying the date of the meeting.
