Minister of Environment Discusses Cooperation Frameworks with the European Commission

The Minister of Environment in the caretaker government, Nasser Yassin, continues his participation in the climate conference in Dubai as part of the official delegation headed by Prime Minister Najib Mikati. He held a meeting with the Director General of Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations at the European Commission, Gert Jan Koopman. They discussed the frameworks of cooperation between Lebanon and the European Commission in environmental, economic, and social fields, as well as opportunities to increase collaboration on environmental projects supported by the European Union. Yassin and Koopman also addressed the need for a new approach from the European Union regarding the return of Syrian refugees from Lebanon to their homes and support for its implementation.
