At least 33 civilians were killed in Khartoum on Thursday, with 23 of them dying as a result of an airstrike by the Sudanese army on an area located in the southeast of the capital, according to the independent organization "Emergency Lawyers," which monitors violations and counts civilian casualties. The human rights group reported that 10 civilians were killed by artillery fire in the Old Salma area south of Khartoum, which has been experiencing conflict since April 15 between the army led by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the Rapid Support Forces led by Mohamed Hamdan Daglo "Hemedti."
